Ángel Schlesser S/S 2020

There are fashion collections that begin with a fabric, a color, a painting or a specific cultural situation. Others, like the one by Daniel Rabaneda for Ángel Schlesser, start from something extremely personal and unusual: climbing. “Due to work circumstances, I stopped climbing, and just when I start the collection I started to climb again, so I wanted to start there because for me climbing is a moment of escape, of concentrating on myself” says the designer. “I am very aware of my body and I totally abstract myself from everything around me, and I wanted to capture it.”

el Cardenal was inspired by the image of a sunset in a rocky landscape to design the bags in this collection.

Climbing ropes, magnesium powder and water bottles inspire these bags made of suede with Trapella fabrics, handmade.
