‘Complica’ takes its name from the Latin <em>complicare</em>, meaning “to fold together”. Its form arises from the accumulation of folds compressed and expanded through a gathered system regulated by an interlaced cord. The structure folds back onto itself, generating a variable volume that transforms the piece according to its use.
The body, unlined, reveals the internal construction and finished seams, reinforcing the direct and structural character of the object. The form remains soft, yet sustained by the continuous tension of gathering.
The adjustable strap allows the drape and position of the piece on the body to be modified.
